Tatyana Roméus Kébé joined the FTKP team as a student in May 2023 after completing her second year at McGill University’s Faculty of Law.

Prior to beginning her legal education, Tatyana received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of British Columbia (UBC) where she received the Chancellor’s Scholar Award. While at the UBC, she was recognized as an outstanding student leader for her contributions to university-wide health promotion initiatives.

At McGill, Tatyana received the 125th Anniversary National Programme entrance scholarship for her distinguished scholastic record. During her legal studies, Tatyana has been committed to the field of family law, most recently founding the Family Law Association of McGill. Under her presidency, the Association continues to advance important discourses on prevailing issues in family law collaborating with trailblazers in the field including current practicing lawyers, justices, and a former senator.

This upcoming academic year, Tatyana was chosen to develop and co-lead a course on Youth Criminal Justice for current McGill law students. Outside of the classroom, Tatyana will be completing a student clerkship at the Court of Québec (Youth Division) with two justices. She will also be representing McGill at the Julius Isaac Alexander Moot Court competition this upcoming February 2024.

As a travel enthusiast, Tatyana is looking forward to crossing Senegal, Iceland, and Australia off her bucket list.
